Gold is a highly precious metal which has been known from ancient times and used by artisans in jewelry making and other arts since then. We can say that gold is always been a center of attraction for people and in the current modern era, it has become a vital necessity of financial structure as a maker of currency. Since 3000 B.C, gold is considered as a representative of wealth and power for many kings, throughout the globe.

A precise report of World Gold Council also known as WGC has revealed that the demand level of Indian Gold Jewelry was quite high s compare to the other forms of gold in 2007. Traders are predicting that if this demand of gold continues then a yearly consumption of gold in India can increase as much as 30% per year to nine hundred tons. An extra thing which makes the gold metal noticeable is its durability and alluring looks.

In Mumbai (city of India), a drastic drop has been observed in the demand of gold at one hundred kg as compared to other cities of the country. It is due to the reason that the prices of gold are increased which causes displeasure among people and they don’t buy it. Under such circumstances, import has also been affected. The demand of gold can be raised if the prices come down to 12200 rupees per 10 grams.

Nowadays, in India, gold jewelers are offering various attractive discount offers to draw the attention of their customers. Indians are known for their extreme love of gold. This is because, in Hindu mythology, they have their Gods and Goddesses which have a golden outlook. It has been known that one of the Hindu Gods named “Brahma”. He is famous to known as Hiranyagarbha, the actual meaning of this term means that Brahma is the intuitive of gold and it is a belief that he was in the Cosmic gold egg. This is the reason why gold is so liked, famed and demanded through eras among Hindus. Only because of these myths, Indian gold jewelry is very popular and demanding.

In a few particular days, gold sales are increased and these are the days which are marked as a traditional festivals or religious occasions in a Hindu calendar. Dhanteras days and several events such as Dassera are most famous ones and carnivals of Durga Pooja, Navratri and many more are such fortune days in which Indian gold jewelry is bought in large quantities by Hindus.

Indian women clothing has been a fascination for not only Indians but worldwide. However, nowadays, it seems Indian woman is slowly distancing herself from the traditional Indian sarees and other Indian dresses. With due respect to all western and other clothes adopted by the women in India, it seems that she has certain misconceptions about the dresses of her own country. This article brings out the reality behind these fashion myths about Indian clothing.Myth#1 Saree is so unprofessional!
Reality It is true that it takes a little longer to drape a saree and it also requires more care and maintenance. However, sari can never be said unprofessional. If draped properly, saree brings an unparalleled grace to one’s personality. How else can you justify the charm of great personalities like Indira Gandhi, Gayatri Devi and more contemporary Sonia Gandhi? True, they are politicians and need to be seen as true Indian and so they can’t shed the traditional Indian clothing! Then how will you justify the business personalities like Chanda Kochhar, the Joint MD of ICICI Bank and Neelam Dhawan, the MD, Microsoft India who are rarely seen in other dresses than saree. And no one can debate over how professional and successful top business executives are they!
Myth#2 Salwar Kameez is not for modern women!Reality There you see a girl clad in salwar kameez and here you give her the tag ‘behen ji’. However, every girl secretly admires the fabulous churidars and patialas worn by their fellow beings. Fashion designers are doing more and more experiments with this fabulous attire of India. Models on ramps flaunt their designer salwar kameez. How could it happen then? If its not for today’s woman, why the fashion industry wasting so much of its manpower and money on designing these salwar kameez? And I thought business runs on demand and supply principle and also that today’s woman is 100 percent a modern woman.
Myth#3 Wearing skirts is non Indian!Reality Here people don’t accept the salwar kameez and there they say that skirts are against traditional values of India! But look at them carefully, don’t you find any resemblance between Indian skirts and lehenga? The long skirts are more like lehengas but with a little lesser diameter. Yes, one more difference- skirt is worn with shirts while lengha is worn with choli and dupatta. Did I hear someone saying stoles with skirts?Myth#4 If you are slim, you’ll look good in any clothing!Reality This myth prevails all over the world and not only in India. Although being slim provides an advantage of looking good in most of the dresses but if you wear a saree without proper pleets and pallu setting, I swear, you’ll not like yourself in the mirror! Wear a blouse which is either too loose or too tight, and you finish off the whole charm of an elegant saree. And just try a badly stitched salwar kameez to see how it coverts you in a hanger with clothes on it instead of a girl with lovely curves! The mantra to look good is ofcourse a good figure and properly stitched and worn dresses, whether Indian or western.

In this rat race, one hardly has any time to sit and chit chat with the people around us. Yet we form opinions about somebody based on his/her clothing. Thus, clothing seems to be the first criterion of judging a stranger.

From time immemorial, a woman plays many roles like that of a wife, manager, mother, a social animal, a relative etc. And all of us have to agree that it is not acceptable to have a uniform dress code for all the roles undertaken by her. One should try and choose the dress according to the occasion. Indian women clothing gives a person wide variety to choose from. Thus its very important for everyone to choose the right dress for right occasion.

Wearing wrong dress at wrong time can really ruin your personality and impression.

Every second hour we need a dress and its very important to have all type of indian clothing in our wardrobes. While going to the office, a women is preferred wearing either formal Indian trousers with a shirt or a formal Indian business clothing. However, one can even wear Indian salwar clothing to office. For all those working women, clothing should be ensured that the colors are not very bright, but pastel colors seem to be a better alternative. A flashy outfit with a heavy make up is like defying the purpose of coming to the office.

Then comes indian women clothing for occasion like wedding. Usually a lady takes a lot of time to get ready for such a grand social gathering. Therefore, on such occasions, heavy indian women clothing sarees with a heavy make up is well accepted by all. And even those who are decked up with jewelry look apt for a function as grand as a marriage. However, in many religions like Punjabi’s and Muslims, colors such as black and white though trendy are not given high regard. Black and white indian women clothing are not considered quite inauspicious on the wedding occasions.

As far as occasions like festivals are concerned, a women can afford to wear indian women clothing include bright and radiant colors like red, blue, green etc. But no loud make up is required for such kind of an occasion. Also at the time of going to a friend’s place or a birthday party, casual Indian women clothing seems to be the best alternative.

Thus, it is hereby important that one should try and choose the clothes according to the occasion. In other words, you should realize the vitality and the simplicity of the place you are visiting.

Many online shops like www.utsavsarees.com offers wide variety of Indian women clothing for right occasions. From casual printed Indian woman clothing to heavily embellished Indian clothing, one can easily find right clothes for right occasions.
